  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
  • 1 year of experience in managing analytical projects.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in scripting, statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS), developing and managing metrics, and evaluating programs/products.

Experience in identifying opportunities for product improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.

  • Experience with Engineers and Product Managers, providing product-centric insights, extracting data with SQL, and designing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) flows.
  • Experience analyzing user behaviors in consumer apps and linking those behaviors to business outcomes.
  • Experience developing models (e.g., statistical and causal inference, classification methods).

In this role, you will support SAGE (Search Ads and Google Experience) in developing key ad products at Google, from classic text ads to shopping ads and new products like DemandGen ads.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salaries are role, level, and location-dependent. Individual pay within this range considers work location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can provide specific salary details during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis using tools like SQL, R, Python, and leverage data infrastructure or models.
  • Report KPIs to support business reviews with leadership, translating analysis into insights or product opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to influence product development.
  • Build and prototype analyses and business cases, developing knowledge of Google data structures and metrics.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to influence product strategy and identify new development opportunities.
