R&D division in RISI is looking for motivated individuals who are eager to flex their data analytics muscles to solve intriguing clinical or research problems that may directly or indirectly impact clinical care or operation at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Your work has the potential to have long lasting positive impact to our pediatric patients and help NCH to achieve best outcome in our care delivery. The R&D division of Research Information Solutions and Innovation has a diverse portfolio of clinical informatics research projects ranging from clinical genomics, business data mining, Hadoop and big data analytics, predictive analytics, to social mobile and cloud (SoMoClo) applications. These projects are highly collaborative involving partners in Clinical Informatics, hospital IS, physicians, researchers, and administrators, both internally and externally.
The Data Scientist II position will be part of a team of data scientists and analysts working to organize and analyze large sets of data or complex data sets to discover hidden patterns, trends, and association in support of research, operation, and clinical care at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The candidate must be experienced in leveraging both structured and unstructured data sets to create analytical solutions using tools and/or methods in at least two of the following areas: statistical and predictive analysis, natural language processing, geospatial analysis, and machine learning. The candidate must be able to verbally and visually communicate clearly to all level of stakeholders.
This is a full time, benefits eligible position. This position has the ability to be remote.
