Job summary

Amazon Science in Bellevue, WA is seeking a data scientist to analyze fulfillment network trends and drive AI/ML research strategy at scale. You will own the data science roadmap, develop production-grade analytics tools, and collaborate with engineers to translate research into scalable solutions for the fulfillment network.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data science or a related field, strong SQL/Python/R skills, and a proven ability to communicate across teams.

Qualifications

2+ years in data scientist or similar role with data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience.
2+ years with SQL, scripting languages (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
Master's degree in a quantitative field, or Bachelor's + 5+ years in a quantitative field, such as statistics, data science, economics, engineering, or CS.
Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale.

Responsibilities

Analyze, model and interpret data for Amazon warehouse operational performance.
Predictive analysis using Machine Learning models at scale.
Translate frontier AI research into production-grade tools for process design developments.
Data analysis and modeling using Excel, Pivot tables, VBA, Tableau, SQL, R, Python.
Develop data and optimization-based solutions to improve fulfillment throughput.
Support process flows and data pipelines for site operations and engineering teams.
