Job summary

CSI is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Data and AI team in the United States. You will build, validate, and deploy machine learning models to help community banks and credit unions better serve their customers through targeted intelligence and behavioral prediction.

You will grow into independent ownership of modeling workstreams under mentorship, with a clear path toward more senior responsibilities. Strong applied ML fundamentals and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of applied ML or data science experience, with at least 1 year in production-grade modeling.
• Strong Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL skills.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and modeling pitfalls in customer data.
• Hands-on with at least one cloud ML platform (AWS preferred).
• Ability to take a modeling project from framing through validation independently.
• Strong communication to translate technical work for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML models for customer segmentation and behavioral prediction.
• Own data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation.
• Collaborate with MLOps to deploy models to production and monitor performance.
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks and success metrics tied to client outcomes.
• Work with product, engineering, and data teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Document modeling work for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Participate in code reviews and team learning sessions.
• Support dashboards translating model outputs into actionable insights.
