Job summary

Peraton in Maryland seeks a data scientist to develop analytics, AI/ML models, and NLP solutions. You will collaborate with SMEs to extract meaningful information from diverse data formats, and translate insights into production workflows.

The role involves building and evaluating AI models, leveraging GPU computing, and contributing to national security projects requiring TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline and five years of analytics experience.
• Five years of experience programming with data analysis software (R, Python, SAS, MATLAB).
• PhD can substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce data visualizations to reveal structure and meaning of datasets.
• Extract information from SQL tables and various data formats with SMEs.
• Develop AI/ML models for complex problems and NLP tasks.
• Develop and optimize LLMs for NLP and information retrieval.
• Utilize GPU resources to accelerate model training and deployment.
• Design experiments and statistical tests to support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate data into production-ready analytics
• Oversee analytic development efforts and guide the team
