Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC seeks a Data Scientist Level 2 to support the VISTA (MT&E Team). You will develop machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze complex datasets and build production-ready analytics.

Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and cloud developers to translate mission needs into scalable analytic solutions and guide the analytic development toward scalable, large-data outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong foundation in statistics and probability, incl. regression and hypothesis testing.
• Knowledge of ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn.
• Experience with data wrangling and transforming complex datasets.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with data visualization tools Tableau and Matplotlib.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; 5 years of analytics experience; 5 years programming with data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Produce data visualizations that provide insight into dataset structure and meaning.
• Develop feature vectors and extract information from varied data formats.
• Translate qualitative goals into quantitative software prototypes.
• Develop and apply statistical, ML, and heuristic analytics.
• Evaluate models using cross-validation, ROC curves, and confusion matrices.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and cloud developers to productionize analytics.
