A leading company in the recruitment industry seeks a Data Scientist to build and implement machine learning models that enhance product development. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with five years of experience and solid skills in data modeling and analytics. This role supports remote work up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S.
Conceptualizes, analyzes, builds, tests, and implements models that utilize various and diverse data sets to solve problems related to the employment and recruiting industries. Builds and implements machine learning models, testing frameworks, and visualizations to make timely decisions and influence the product roadmap. Proactively researches data and identifies opportunities in the data to drive the product roadmap. Evaluates data’s big picture to solve business problems rather than focusing on metrics alone. Understands human behavior and knows what to look for in the data. Communicates concisely and persuasively with engineers and product marketers. Helps identify ways to improve data quality and analysis. Utilizes a solid understanding of Indeed’s business fundamentals. Estimates expected business value before undertaking projects and focuses on the tasks that maximize it. Balances short-term results against long-term investment and explains choices. Executes loosely defined work items, including defining precise requirements. Works with team lead and product managers to prioritize and plan work items. Independently designs and delivers solutions that span multiple components. Mentors junior data scientists and engineers. Shares technical ideas, successes, and failures with collaborators (engineers and PMs) and other data scientists. Participates in interviewing and recruiting activities. Demonstrates broad knowledge of assigned products and product data. Identifies data science and product improvement opportunities for the team. Follows through on the impact of projects in production. Improves data and data science processes in assigned product. Regularly solicits feedback on work items after concrete self-validation. Delivers high quality, thoughtfully designed, and maintainable components. Researches and incorporates new technologies and tools into team processes. Exemplifies repeatable and reusable data science work.
Position is in Seattle, Washington. Up to 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
Salary Range: $183,581 to $207,000 per year.
