Jobtailor in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced data science and audit analytics leader to drive risk analytics, fraud detection, and compliant data initiatives. You will design and optimize ETL pipelines and ML models, ensuring alignment with SOX, GDPR, NIST, and PCI DSS.

You will collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver data-driven insights, monitor model performance, and advance AI-enabled analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, audit analytics, or risk analytics.
  • 3+ years building predictive or ML models (classification, regression, anomaly, risk scoring).
  • 3+ years developing data pipelines, ETL, or data warehouses.
  • Experience with SOX, GDPR, NIST, or PCI DSS frameworks.
  • Experience with SHAP or LIME for explainable AI.
  • Experience with CI/CD for ML workflows.
  • U.S. Person requirement and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit analytics aligned with SOX, GDPR, NIST, PCI DSS.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
  • Develop risk and fraud analytics models (KRIs, risk scoring, anomaly detection).
  • Build and optimize predictive models for classification and regression.
  • Explain model predictions with SHAP and LIME.
  • Monitor model performance and detect drift; retrain as needed.
  • Use Spark for large-scale data processing.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for analytics/ML workflows.
  • Leverage Splunk, Defender, SentinelOne, Qualys for security/compliance.
  • Apply generative/agentic AI with ServiceNow, Azure AI, LLMs, NLP.
  • Collaborate with tech and business teams for insights.
  • Report to Director of IT and Cybersecurity Audit.

Job description

  • Lead audit analytics initiatives aligned with SOX, GDPR, NIST, and PCI DSS, including scoping, probabilistic modeling, testing, and reporting
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouses using Snowflake and Databricks
  • Develop and implement risk and fraud analytics models focused on KRIs, risk scoring, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention
  • Build and optimize predictive models for classification and regression
  • Use SHAP and LIME to interpret and explain model predictions
  • Monitor model performance, detect model drift, and retrain models as needed
  • Use Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for analytics and machine learning workflows
  • Use Splunk, Defender, SentinelOne, and Qualys to support data security and compliance
  • Apply generative and agentic AI technologies to audit use cases, integrating ServiceNow, Azure AI, LLMs, and NLP for data summarization and insights
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver actionable insights and data-driven innovation
  • Report directly to the Director of IT and Cybersecurity Audit
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, audit analytics, risk analytics, fraud analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing predictive or machine learning models, including classification, regression, anomaly detection, or risk scoring
  • 3+ years of experience developing data pipelines, ETL processes, or data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, or Spark
  • 3+ years of experience applying data analytics to business, risk, audit, compliance, cybersecurity, or fraud-related problems
  • Experience applying analytics to audit, risk management, cybersecurity, fraud detection, or regulatory compliance use cases
  • Experience with audit analytics aligned to SOX, GDPR, NIST, or PCI DSS frameworks
  • Experience with explainable AI techniques such as SHAP or LIME
  • Experience monitoring model performance, detecting model drift, and retraining machine learning models
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for analytics or machine learning workflows
  • Experience with generative AI, agentic AI, LLMs, NLP, or AI-enabled data summarization
  • Experience using Splunk, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, or Qualys
  • Experience with cloud platforms and machine learning lifecycle management
  • Experience working in a regulated industry with compliance requirements
  • Experience managing projects and communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (valued/preferred)
  • U.S. Person requirement: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected U.S. asylum/refugee status, or ability to obtain export authorization
