Job summary

Amazon's Central Science Team (PXTCS) in Arlington, VA seeks a data scientist to design scalable models and GenAI-powered prototypes that enhance employee experience. You will partner with scientists, engineers, and product leaders to solve defects using scientific approaches and deliver measurable impact.

The role requires 1+ years in SQL/Python or similar, plus 2+ years in data analysis roles with big data. A Master's in STEM is preferred. Health benefits and RSUs are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SQL/Python or R/SAS/ Matlab experience.
• 2+ years as data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst with big data.
• 1+ years writing or contributing to mathematical content.
• Master's degree in STEM (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of scalable models and prototypes using statistical, ML, or GenAI methods to improve employee experience.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and product leaders to solve employee-experience defects using scientific approaches.
• Author and maintain detailed technical documentation for projects.
• Communicate results to audiences with varying technical backgrounds via writing, visuals, and presentations.
• Stay current with emerging methods and technologies and apply them to amplify impact.
