Job summary

Solventum, a healthcare innovator, seeks a Data Scientist to advance product informatics and modeling efforts. You will develop ML models using chemical and materials data, integrate diverse datasets, and collaborate across R&D and business teams to translate scientific questions into data-driven solutions.

You will design pipelines, work in a hybrid environment with travel to Eagan, and communicate complex results to stakeholders in a clear and impactful way.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Computational Chemistry, Data Science, or STEM confirmed before negotiated start date
• M.S. in Data Science with a STEM BS and 1 year data science experience confirmed before negotiated start date
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or STEM with 5 years data science experience confirmed before negotiated start date
• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years data science experience confirmed before negotiated start date

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning and statistical models from chemical, materials, and experimental data to support formulation design, process optimization, and product performance prediction
• Integrate experimental and simulation data to improve understanding and accelerate decision making
• Design and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and analytical tools for reproducible analyses
• Collaborate with R&D and business teams to frame questions, develop modeling strategies, and translate challenges into data-driven solutions
• Communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
