Job summary

Consumers Energy in Michigan is seeking a Data Scientist to develop and maintain ML/AI models, data models, and tools to support business needs. You will partner with the business to translate requirements into analytical solutions.

You will analyze HR and workforce data to forecast time utilization, absences, attrition risk, and staffing capacity, delivering data-driven recommendations for planning and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• OR Associate Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• OR High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control resources to achieve project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
• Prioritize initiatives and structure projects for optimum success taking into consideration budget, head count, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct analytics initiative from ideation through production and adoption and understand the analytics lifecycle.
• Communicate data science outputs and support the creation of models and solutions that provide insights for the business to interpret and execute successfully.
• Independently or with a team to evaluate, select, build, train, and apply effective modeling approaches using Data Science theory.
• Other duties as assigned or may be necessary.
