Amazon Music’s DISCO M&G team seeks a Data Scientist to join a group of scientists and engineers who analyze big data, provide analytics, build models, and power music product experiences. You will set the science vision and collaborate with stakeholders across marketing tech and finance to scale insights and optimizations.

You will lead large-scale science solutions, prioritize projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while driving evidence-based decisions that impact subscriber growth

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of data querying languages (SQL) or scripting languages (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
• 3+ years of ML/statistical modeling, data analysis tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development of models and science products powering customer identity, acquisition, and retention strategies for Amazon Music.
• Partner with Marketing and Growth leadership to develop science-driven business strategies, including subscriber segmentation, lifecycle management, and upsell programs.
• Build predictive models—propensity, uplift, and causal inference—to support marketing initiatives and measure impact.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to evaluate campaigns and algorithmic interventions through experiments.
• Analyze experiment results and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize acquisition and retention outcomes.
• Define, propose, and validate success and guardrail metrics for identity and growth programs.
