Job summary

Google DeepMind seeks a Quantitative Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will mine large data sets, collaborate with Engineers, PMs, Sales and Marketing, and translate findings into actionable strategies to improve efficiency and drive product innovation.

You will work on multiple projects, deploying analyses, models, and methods, mentoring teammates, and supporting leadership with data-driven recommendations across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, IT, CS, Data Science or related field (or equivalent).
  • 7 years analytics experience solving product/business problems with coding (Python/R/SQL).
  • 5 years consulting in performance advertising strategy.
  • MBA or Master’s in Statistics/Data Science preferred.
  • Experience translating datasets into executive insights with BI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define core operational hypotheses with cross-functional leadership.
  • Develop, deploy and scale self-service dashboards for real-time KPIs.
  • Plan workflows, manage dependencies, mitigate risks across teams.
  • Present complex findings clearly to senior leaders to influence decisions.
  • Apply data science methods to evaluate design, productivity and spending.

Job description

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) role.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
  • 5 years of experience in a consulting role developing and executing performance advertising strategies.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science , or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced data visualization, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and translating complex datasets into executive-level insights, and experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python or Apps Script) to automate data analysis.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $256000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Partner closely with cross-functional leadership to define core operational hypotheses and design metric frameworks.
  • Develop, deploy, and scale intuitive, self-service analytical dashboards (PLX, Tableau, or Google Data Studio) to enable real-time monitoring of organizational health and KPIs for stakeholders.
  • Programmatize workflows, manage resource dependencies, proactively mitigate risks, and collaborate across internal teams to ensure operational rhythm and milestone execution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by synthesizing complex quantitative findings into clear, narrative-driven presentations. Communicate technical and statistical insights effectively to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Apply advanced data science methodologies to evaluate organizational design, productivity, and spending patterns, translating data into insights.
