CGI Group, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Data Scientist to support the mission of building an enterprise analytics platform within an agile environment.

The onsite role combines deep technical work with opportunities to bring new data science approaches into multiple active work streams. You’ll work with modern data and BI technologies while contributing to improved client reporting, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required due to government contract and/or clearance.
• Interim Secret clearance required to begin onsite work; Secret clearance must be maintained.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or STEM.
• 3–4 years of analytics and BI-focused experience, preferably in consulting.
• 3–4 years using Python, R, or other languages to build statistical models or analyze data.
• 3–4 years creating complex SQL queries and data structures.
• Experience with self-service BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects.
• Experience in an Agile-based environment.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth technical capabilities to support multiple work streams and drive adoption of new techniques.
• Use data and technical expertise to perform analysis, data mining, and visualization with BI tools and data development platforms.
• Evaluate data quality using SQL and data analysis techniques to strengthen client reporting capabilities.
• Track technology trends in data science and communicate how they can benefit future platform development.
• Participate in team problem solving and contribute ideas to address client issues.
• Understand data needs and build data pipelines that automate and accelerate data preparation.
