Job summary

NinjaHoldings in Chicago, IL is seeking a Data Scientist to build predictive lending models, analyze consumer risk, and collaborate with software engineers to deploy analytics into production.

You will work with cross-functional teams on data-driven insights, design A/B tests, and develop automated dashboards. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience are required; advanced quantitative degrees are a plus. Remote-first culture with downtown office access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience with data analytics and statistical modeling.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Build predictive models to optimize lending decisions using advanced statistical modeling and simulation techniques.
• Use advanced data analytics to understand consumer risk behavior trends and portfolio impact.
• Support the implementation of models by collaborating with software engineers and performing post-release checks.
• Assist with development of technical tools and platforms to standardize model development and monitoring processes.
• Establish key performance metrics and develop automated dashboards using SQL and Python.
• Design A/B testing for models and underwriting strategies, evaluate impact, and provide recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to uncover insights and provide recommendations.
• Communicate concise and actionable business strategies to senior management.
