Allen Integrated Solutions in Dayton, OH is seeking a mid-level Data Scientist to apply statistical analysis, data validation, and ETL scripting within the NASIC Technology, Data, and Assessment Division (A9A). The role focuses on data cleaning, dashboard maintenance, and basic automation to support center-wide analytics.

You will collaborate with an integrated data science team on on-site tasks, ensure data integrity, and contribute to production dashboards using approved NASIC cloud tools;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience OR a Master’s degree and 3 years in Data Science, CS, IT, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience performing core data manipulation, writing clean SQL or Python code, and handling structured/unstructured databases.
• Familiarity with data analytics libraries and code repositories (e.g., GitLab).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance for on-site support at Wright-Patterson AFB; DoD cybersecurity basics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Data Cleaning & Algorithm Execution: Writes baseline ETL scripts and assists with IA/AI/ML techniques and model diagnostics.
• Dashboard Maintenance & Front-End Design: Develops and updates dashboards and data portals using NASIC-approved toolsets.
• Data Flow & Ontology Compliance: Applies metadata governance and aligns raw data with enterprise ontology standards.
• Sprint & Board Collaboration: Participates in daily stand-ups and Agile ceremonies; tracks tasks in JIRA and documents pipelines in Confluence.
• Discrepancy Remediation Support: Troubleshoots data ingestion issues, fixes dashboard bugs, and runs maintenance scripts.
