Description
  • A data scientist, a high-level individual contributor, will collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • This role involves leading and coordinating data-driven efforts across departments.
  • Effective communication, adaptability, and a strong understanding of technical and business aspects are essential.
    • 1. Strategic Planning:
      • Work with stakeholders from various areas to understand data needs and align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
      • Develop and implement a strategic vision for data analysis.
    • 2. Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
      • Establish policies for data accuracy, consistency, and security.
      • Collaborate to maintain high-quality data pipelines and databases.
    • 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Facilitate communication between teams.
      • Translate business requirements into data tasks and vice versa.
    • 4. Project Management:
      • Lead projects related to data analysis, reporting, and insights.
      • Define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
    • 5. Data Exploration and Visualization:
      • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights.
      • Create visualizations to communicate findings.
    • 6. Statistical Analysis and Modeling:
      • Apply statistical techniques and collaborate on predictive models.
    • 7. Change Management and Training:
      • Support organizational change and train team members on data tools and methods.
    • 8. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years in healthcare or data analytics.
  • At least 2 years working for payor companies or healthcare systems.
  • At least 2 years in relational databases.
  • Proficient in SQL and one other programming language (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
  • Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, AI.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning and workflow optimization.
  • Mentor and coach team members and leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPIC certification or experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle.
  • Experience with Strata or similar systems.
  • Develop and implement analytical strategies.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate results to senior audiences.
  • Guide decision-making through data.
  • Research papers and medical journals experience.
  • Proficient in SPSS.
  • Agile and Lean Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience in strategy development and deployment.
