We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist Consultant to deliver high-impact analytics services and develop innovative data-driven solutions. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external client partners to analyze complex datasets, uncover actionable insights, and guide strategic decision-making. The position emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and translating data into clear narratives that drive business outcomes. You will leverage statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and automation techniques to enhance operational efficiency and client impact. Accountabilities
  • Analyze constituent and operational data to identify high-value engagement opportunities, portfolio efficiencies, and automation potential.
  • Develop statistical models, predictive analytics, and reproducible analyses to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Present analytical findings confidently to clients, translating complex results into clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring accurate and comprehensive analysis.
  • Design and implement automated workflows and reports to improve efficiency and scalability of analytics solutions.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and interactive applications to communicate results effectively.
  • Support client-facing and internal initiatives by tailoring communication to diverse audiences, from technical peers to executive leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or applied data science.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proficiency in R for statistical analysis, including process automation, reproducible reporting (RMarkdown/Quarto), and database/API integration.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives from data.
  • Experience presenting analytical results in client-facing or consulting-style settings.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience in cross-functional or stakeholder-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and data visualization tools.
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in consulting or nonprofit environments, cloud-based platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, Azure), SQL/database integration, ETL processes, and interactive data applications (Shiny, Streamlit).
