Job summary

Medal is seeking a data analytics lead to own the company’s end-to-end analytics strategy, from instrumentation to KPI reporting and deep dives. You’ll collaborate with business and product leaders to shape experimentation, pricing, and growth initiatives.

You’ll own multi-test design, causal inference, and data scaffolding, enabling cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience managing and researching product analytics or a master’s degree in statistics or a related field.
• Applied statistics depth: regression, experimental design, and causal inference. Bayesian methods are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze experiments end-to-end to validate hypotheses and determine readouts.
• Configure test structures and manage multi-test pipelines with causal analysis when clean A/B tests aren’t possible.
• Build and refine analytics instrumentation and KPI reporting with data scaffolding and telemetry enhancements.
• Identify opportunities in data to inform strategy and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to roadmap planning, pricing analytics, and experiments around upsells and bundles.
• Collaborate with engineers on release cycles in CI/CD environments.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity and analysis quality.
• Work with event-level data on BigQuery/Snowflake and BI tools to support business and product decisions.
