Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a data scientist to unlock insights from large data sets across IoT, ML, and AI domains for national and global challenges. You will collaborate with clients to translate questions into data-driven solutions, building algorithms and scalable analytics that convert complex data into actionable intelligence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using data science programming languages such as Python or R.
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience creating ETL pipelines, including querying APIs, cleaning and conditioning data, and creating schemas for data storage.
• Experience with version control tools, including git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or machine learning methods.
• Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
• Ability to develop solutions and integrate and extend free and open-source software (FOSS) or COTS products.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in data science, or 7+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand questions and needs and dig into data-rich environments to find pieces of the information puzzle.
• Develop algorithms and systems using the right tools and frameworks to turn data points into objective answers.
• Provide a deep understanding of the data, what it means, and how it can be used to inform decisions.
