Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Data Scientist to join the centralized Data Science Team in Cleveland. You will translate business questions into analytics using statistics, machine learning, and data visualization to drive executive decisions.

The role requires a Masters in a quantitative field and 5+ years of data processing experience, plus 3+ years building models and communicating results to leaders. On-site role with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Statistics or related field.
• 5+ years practical experience with data processing, programming and analytics.
• 3+ years practical experience building statistical or machine learning models and communicating results to business leaders.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Answer business questions end-to-end by translating questions into analyses with advanced techniques.
• Understand statistics, models, and ML; select approaches for analytics problems.
• Interact with non-technical stakeholders to deliver analyses and findings.
• Execute data science strategy using inferential or predictive models.
• Coordinate with Business partners in a consultant capacity for needs analysis and support.
• Collaborate with technology partners on data mining and collection using SQL, R, Python, Excel, and other tools.
• Prepare and deliver analyses and visualizations meeting customer needs.
• Learn and apply new data science techniques for expanding scope.
• Experience in analytics consulting and presenting to Executives/C-Suite is desirable.
