Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Data Scientist to join the centralized Data Science Team, responsible for data analysis, AI and ML use case development to drive business decisions. The candidate should have strong statistics, experience with predictive models, and the ability to communicate with executives.

Expect collaboration with stakeholders and end-to-end analytics delivery across multiple business areas.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of data processing, programming and analytics experience.
• 3+ years building statistical or ML models and communicating results to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into analytics problems and deliver end-to-end analyses.
• Develop and apply models; present findings to executives with minimal supervision.
• Interact with non-technical stakeholders to explain results and implications.
• Collaborate with business partners and technology teams on data collection and deployment.
• Prepare data visualizations and reports to meet customer needs.

Education

Masters Degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Industrial or Research Psychology, Biostatistics, Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
