Job summary

Intermedia Intelligent Communications is seeking a Data Scientist to join our AI Data Science team. You will develop and apply advanced ML, generative AI, and statistical methods to improve Intermedia's Digital Agent Platform, tackling LLM, retrieval, and agent behavior to help agents understand customer needs and complete tasks.

You will work with AI/ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and other data scientists to take ideas from experimentation through production, owning data

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data science, ML, or related analytical field.
• Experience applying supervised and unsupervised models to real-world problems.
• Hands-on with generative AI and large language models.
• Programming in Python; SQL and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with ML frameworks and model deployment.
• Ability to translate problems into AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate ML and generative AI solutions powering Intermedia's Digital Agent Platform.
• Apply LLMs, NLP, and retrieval to improve agent understanding and performance.
• Design end-to-end pipelines combining LLMs with retrieval and enterprise data.
• Evaluate models for quality, latency, scalability, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, software engineers, PMs, and data scientists.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and run offline/online experiments.
• Ensure reproducible, production-ready data science solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share knowledge.
