Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Data Scientist to power Real Estate & Workplace (REW) initiatives. You will own end-to-end analytical work—framing problems, building models, and delivering dashboards that influence space decisions and investments.

Collaborating with Finance, IT, and HR, you’ll translate business priorities into analytical plans, validate models, and drive measurable impact across the workplace ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, take ownership, and balance rigor with speed.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and operational platforms.
• Experience in Data Science or Decision Science in relevant domains.
• Strong grounding in statistics, causal inference, forecasting, and model evaluation.
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Proven ability to turn messy datasets into high-impact decisions.
• Enthusiasm for AI-native analytics and agentic dashboards.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own ambiguous, high-impact problems end to end—from framing and prioritization through delivery, adoption, and iteration.
• Define success metrics and build measurement, forecasting, experimentation, and optimization frameworks.
• Develop and own agentic dashboards, reporting, models, and decision tools.
• Connect data from workplace sensors, collaboration tools, operations, and financial systems.
• Communicate assumptions, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
