HDR is seeking a Data Scientist in Washington, DC, onsite, to apply advanced data analytics and low-code development to modernize business processes and deliver automated, insight-driven solutions.

You will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and leverage Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to create applications, dashboards, and automated workflows that strengthen decision making and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• A degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Power Query, and Pandas.
• At least 3 years of experience with business intelligence tools including Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, and Matplotlib.
• At least 3 years of experience with data science languages such as Python and R.
• Excellent writing, people skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to an employee-owned culture and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for business decisions.
• Develop data products including reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights.
• Perform data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and exploratory data analysis.
• Engineer features and transform data for ML models.
• Build and maintain predictive models across various techniques and domains.
• Manage the end-to-end model lifecycle from development to retraining and inference.
• Tune models and conduct validation, testing, and quality evaluation.
• Apply predictive models to improve operational outcomes.
• Leverage Power Platform tools to build apps, automate workflows, and improve efficiency.
• Map and reengineer workflows to align with goals and optimize processes.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and propose technology-driven remedies.
• Collaborate on UI/UX to support intuitive dashboards and apps.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in QA/QC activities.
• Support implementation, testing, rollout, and user adoption with IT and OT teams.
• Build dashboards and BI solutions to track KPIs and project health.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver a strong customer experience.
