Job summary

Graham Technologies in Tampa, Florida seeks a seasoned Data Scientist to build scalable ML models and predictive analytics for logistics and sustainment operations. You will develop forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization solutions, while delivering executive dashboards and collaborating with data engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in ML/AI, strong Python/R skills, and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, plus DoD/government project exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of professional experience in predictive analytics, ML, or AI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, deploy, and maintain ML and predictive analytics models for logistics and sustainment operations.
  • Build demand forecasting models using time-series analysis (ARIMA, exponential smoothing).
  • Develop ML models with RF, Gradient Boosting, XGBoost, or RL techniques.
  • Design anomaly detection models using clustering and unsupervised methods.
  • Develop inventory optimization and resource allocation models.
  • Analyze large enterprise datasets to identify trends and risks.
  • Prepare data, feature engineering, and model validation.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize data pipelines and cloud analytics.
  • Create executive dashboards and BI visuals (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Present findings to technical teams, leadership, and Government stakeholders.
  • Produce technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

Graham Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to develop advanced machine learning, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions that enhance logistics planning, sustainment operations, and enterprise decision-making. This role focuses on building scalable analytics solutions, predictive models, and interactive business intelligence capabilities that enable data-driven decision-making within a complex, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, deploy, and maintain machine learning and predictive analytics models supporting logistics and sustainment operations.
  • Build demand forecasting models utilizing statistical techniques including time-series analysis, ARIMA, and exponential smoothing.
  • Develop machine learning models using algorithms such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, XGBoost, and reinforcement learning techniques.
  • Design and implement anomaly detection models utilizing clustering algorithms, DBSCAN, autoencoders, and other unsupervised learning methods.
  • Develop inventory optimization and resource allocation models utilizing statistical analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured enterprise datasets to identify trends, patterns, and operational risks.
  • Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation to improve predictive performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize enterprise data pipelines and cloud-based analytics environments.
  • Develop executive dashboards, operational scorecards, and interactive visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical teams, program leadership, and Government stakeholders.
  • Develop technical documentation including model specifications, analytical methodologies, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to Government personnel on analytical models and business intelligence tools.
  • Monitor model performance and continuously improve deployed AI/ML solutions.
  • Support Agile software development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and peer reviews.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver enterprise analytics solutions supporting mission objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret with the ability to attain a SCI.
  • Master\'s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Strong programming experience using Python.
  • Experience using R for statistical analysis.
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Experience using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with predictive analytics and statistical modeling.
  • Experience analyzing large, complex enterprise datasets.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs.
  • Experience supporting logistics, supply chain, sustainment, readiness, or operational analytics.
  • Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI/ML environments in AWS or Azure.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience with optimization algorithms, linear programming, or supply chain modeling.
  • Experience with geospatial analytics or operational planning tools.
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, or similar cloud certification.
  • Security+ or other DoD 8570/8140 certification.
