Job summary

Centurion in Tampa, FL is seeking a Data Scientist to drive GenAI/AgenticAI initiatives for a defense intelligence mission customer. You will develop PoCs and MVPs leveraging NLP, GenAI, and agentic AI on-site at the client.

The role requires 3+ years Python, 3+ years data science experience, and active TS/SCI clearance. On-site work five days per week in Tampa, FL is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required
• 3+ years of experience in Python
• 3+ years of experience in executing data science methodologies using common programming/scripting languages
• Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL 5 days per week

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and apply cutting-edge GenAI and AgenticAI methods to solve complex, real-world problems
• Act as an AI thought leader, including creating whitepapers, presentations, executive briefings, reports, and other materials to support AI solutions and services
• Guide federal clients with high autonomy in AI strategy and development, including understanding agency needs, performing exploratory data analysis, building and validating models, and deploying models into both on-prem and cloud environments
• Act as a subject matter expert to GPS clients and global AI partner ecosystem
• Iterate on and/or create repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data systems that meet technical and deployment challenges
• Maintain and uphold data science best practices on new methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open source packages
• Work cross-functionally with other scientists & data engineers, federal account manager and leadership to help ensure project delivery and success
• Maintain and uphold data science best practices by staying current with new GenAI/AgenticAI methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open source packages.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues in AI and Data Science

Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
