Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Border Security Data Scientist to join a dynamic team supporting U.S. Federal border security customers. You will collect, transform, and analyze data to build integrated models and deliver actionable reports for senior leaders at client sites in the DC area.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and an active/public trust clearance, with experience in data analysis, data integration, and modelling using SQL, Python, and R. Travel and federal work across CBP are involved.

Qualifications

• Active CBP Public Trust or Top Secret/DoD clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

What You Will Do

The Border Security Data Scientist will join a dynamic team supporting U.S Federal border security customers. In this role, the candidate will collect, transform, integrate, and analyze data to. develop integrated data models, generate reports and analyses for key senior leaders and deploy dynamic analytical solutions. Develop integrated data pipelines and models to support law enforcement operations Develop and maintain data governance documentation, tools, and templates. Coordinate with non-technical users to gather requirements. Request, document, report, and analyze data, and where applicable, create tools and resources to support data and reporting. Support key mission clients within the Washington DC Metro region at client sites. We are actively hiring for this role at multiple levels (Associate, Senior, and Lead) to support ongoing and upcoming federal client work across CBP.

What You Will Need

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED CBP PUBLIC TRUST or An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
• Bachelors Degree
• Experience in performing data analysis, mining and/or architecture using tools such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
• Experience developing transformative data integration solutions that transform border, national security or law enforcement data
• Experience performing modelling and/or simulation analysis

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Proficiency in querying and mining large classified data sets
• Proficiency in data wrangling and analysis using Python.
• Proficiency with COTS tools such as DataRobot, Senzing and others
• Experience developing bespoke analytical tools for law enforcement analysis
• Direct Experience supporting the National Targeting Center or similar National Security analysis fusion centers
