We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the next phase of our business growth.

Position Overview

The Remote Data Scientist will play a key role in turning complex data into actionable insights that drive innovation and operational excellence across our restaurants. The ideal candidate will have expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and business intelligence. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, this individual will develop data models and predictive analytics to improve customer engagement, menu optimization, staffing efficiency, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources (POS systems, CRM tools, financial records, supply chain systems, and customer feedback platforms).
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models to support decision-making in areas such as sales forecasting, demand planning, and guest satisfaction.
  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that influence restaurant performance.
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualizations to make data accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing and data experiments to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, menu changes, and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and U.S. regulations.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies in data science and restaurant analytics.
Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship or valid U.S. Work Permit (required).
  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for statistical computing and machine learning.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team.

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or food & beverage industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Google BigQuery, Azure).
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) for analyzing customer feedback and sentiment.
  • Understanding of supply chain optimization and revenue management analytics.
