Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
  • Minimum 2 years of data science or statistics-related work experience.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake, Teradata, or Oracle and SQL querying.
  • Proficiency in Python or R and experience with structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques including classification, clustering, dimension reduction, regression, NLP, and time series modeling.
  • Experience with experimental design, outlier detection methods, and statistical hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Ability to translate work into presentations suitable for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven collaboration with business partners and colleagues.

  • Build expertise on Grainger's business operations, go-to-market model, and the broader MRO market.

Compensation

The anticipated base pay range for this role is USD 87,200.00 – 145,300.00. The position is eligible for an incentive target of up to 5% based on individual and company performance, as defined by the current incentive program terms.
