Job description

Ready to help us transform healthcare? Bring your true colors to blue. Our Account Analytics team is seeking a Data Scientist with strong technical expertise and a background in a quantitative discipline. In this role, you’ll leverage large and complex healthcare datasets to bring key cost and utilization insights directly to our accounts. You will utilize Python to design and automate the delivery of critical data tables, visualizations, and PowerPoint presentations.

Additionally, you will collaborate with business partners to elevate our client deliverables and serve as an expert to address clarifying questions and analyze key cost drivers raised from account feedback.

This role is eligible for our Flex worker persona in our Boston or Hingham office once per month. Your day-to-day use Python to build automated reporting pipelines that generate data tables, identify metrics, and create graphs, integrating them into PowerPoint slides for account presentations. Develop and organize high-quality code enhancements by proactively modifying existing processes and building new, robust code with little to no supervision. Act as the subject matter expert to directly identify key drivers and address clarifying questions stemming from account presentation meetings. Clean raw data and review input files with strong attention detail ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all downstream analytics.

Collaborate closely with internal business partners to continuously refine, enhance, and elevate the quality of our client-facing slide decks and output files. Partner with teams including Underwriting, Health and Medical Management, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment between analytics and business strategy.

We’re looking for a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Healthcare Analytics, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. 5-7+ years of professional experience in data science, healthcare analytics, or a related field. Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R for data extraction, manipulation, and modeling. Experience with cloud-based tools (e.g., Snowflake, S3 buckets). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills—able to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and adaptability to shifting business priorities.

What you bring: a passion for using data to improve healthcare quality and affordability, creative, solution-oriented approach to tackling complex business problems, the ability to influence decision-making through clear insights and strong stakeholder partnerships, and a team-first perspective with a track record of driving projects to completion.

Minimum Education Requirements: High-school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above. Location: Boston. Time Type: Full time. Salary Range: $116,190.00 - $142,010.00.
