In this role, you will make an impact on our business by creating value and supporting decision-making as you manage the functional data science capability through the application of mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling, or machine-learning techniques to analyze data and generate insights. You will be responsible for building the data science roadmap for the business.

* This role will be 100% remote based.

How you will contribute
  1. Manage the introduction and use of analytics to meet business requirements, ensuring consistency across all user groups. Establish and manage functional analytics methods, techniques, and capabilities to enable data analysis, generate insights, create value, and drive decision-making, while measuring the progress of initiatives and market successes.
  2. Assess business problems to be solved and identify internal or external data sources to use or acquire.
  3. Identify and validate external sources of information relevant to the operational needs of the enterprise.
  4. Define business-oriented goals for initiatives and communicate these to business managers.
  5. Apply expertise in analyzing high-volume, high-velocity, and diverse data (numbers, symbols, text, sound, images). Develop predictive, real-time, model-based insights to create value and support effective decision-making.
  6. Understand the identification, validation, and exploitation of internal and external datasets from various functional processes; be an expert in functional data and datasets.
  7. Recruit talent and build teams with the right skills to staff projects.
What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • Working experience in a quantitative discipline and data science.
  • Strong quantitative background in statistics and linear algebra, along with programming knowledge.
  • Knowledge of classification techniques, collaborative filtering, association rules, and heuristics approaches.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics platforms/tools such as R/SAS, Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark, and familiarity with querying databases.
  • Experience in generating dashboards and manipulating data visualization software KPIs/dimensions.
  • Ability to interface with high-level stakeholders (SVPs and above).
Require Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Certifications such as SAS Base, SAS VF, SAS Visual Statistics, etc.
  • Strong applied knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning, with exposure to forecasting, especially driver-based forecasting.
  • Experience working with FMCG, Food & Beverages, Retail, or similar industry data, with an understanding of business processes.
  • Ability to articulate data science outcomes in business-understandable language.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics.
Travel:
  • Travel up to 30%.

The base salary range for this position is $137,300.00-$188,825.00 for U.S. only; the exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus program with potential overachievement based on performance and company results.
