Qualifications

• Earned PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for high-quality scholarly research in data science, ML, agentic AI, quantum computing, AI and related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to establish externally funded research programs and collaborate with industry partners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Teach two courses per semester in data science and related areas.
• Develop an externally funded, high-impact research program with industry partnerships.
• Mentor graduate students, including master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and provide leadership in service to department and university.
