Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Data Science Manager in Pomona, CA to lead a team of data scientists developing asset risk models that inform regulatory filings and strategic decisions. You will partner with engineers, IT, risk management and regulatory groups to translate complex data into scalable solutions that improve wildfire, safety and reliability outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum five years supervising a technical/analytical team.
Experience with predictive modeling and data-driven decision making.
Ability to communicate complex findings to executives and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts on proactive and predictive analytics projects.
Oversee multiple analytics initiatives to meet business objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Coordinate with IT, risk management, and regulatory teams to translate insights into actionable solutions.
Drive development and deployment of predictive models and Gen AI solutions for customer service and operations.
Monitor model performance and business impact, adjusting strategies as needed.
Stay current on AI trends and industry developments to apply best practices.
