Job summary

DESRI seeks an Associate or Manager, Data Science to lead the company's enterprise data science strategy and help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will partner with teams to build scalable analytics capabilities and deploy advanced modeling across the growing renewable energy portfolio.

The role encompasses forecasting, operational analytics, predictive maintenance, portfolio optimization, market intelligence, and business performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of data science experience with leadership in enterprise initiatives.
• Strong stats, ML, optimization, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with ETL and large-scale data environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in renewable energy or energy markets preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Intellectually curious with entrepreneurial mindset and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data science strategy and roadmap across operational and corporate functions.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics initiatives.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models to improve asset performance, operational efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and portfolio optimization.
• Translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging AI, ML, and advanced analytics technologies relevant to the renewable energy industry.
• Support the evolution of data infrastructure, reporting environment, and business intelligence capabilities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
