What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Perform research, querying, and analysis of complex Medicaid claim and encounter data to identify fraud indicators
  • Assist in designing and executing data queries utilizing SQL and other programming languages
  • Collaborate with senior data scientists to analyze and review reports and data visualizations
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support case development
  • Maintain documentation and reports in electronic format
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in informatics, data science, mathematics, computer science, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field
  • One (1) year of experience performing data science or informatics work
  • Basic knowledge of medical billing and coding terminology and systems (CPT, HCPCS, ICD9, ICD10)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualization software
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience working in public health or healthcare
  • Familiarity with RAT-STATS, SQL, and SAS
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE), or Certified Financial Examiner (CFE)
