IDR is seeking a Data Science Analyst to join one of our top clients in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in guiding the process and developing code to analyze open text comments stored in BigQuery datasets using Google Cloud Platform resources like Vertex AI. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Science Analyst:

Lead the development and optimization of an end-to-end NLP pipeline, focusing on thematic, sentiment, topic modeling, and trend analysis.

Collaborate with an internal analytics architect to access and prepare datasets, ensuring seamless integration and analysis.

Utilize Python in Jupyter Notebooks to call LLMs via Vertex AI, embedding prompts, and writing results back to BigQuery.

Engage in trend analysis to capture and analyze sentiment changes year-over-year.

Contract position set to end on 12/31/2025, with a possible short extension if the project is nearing completion.

Required Skills for Data Science Analyst:

Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Python, demonstrated in Jupyter Notebooks.

At least one year of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically Vertex AI.

Practical experience in calling LLMs from Python/Jupyter, setting temperature, and embedding prompts.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, or health science, with advanced coursework or equivalent experience.

Strong technical leadership skills and comfort in owning the entire NLP pipeline.
