Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Data Science and AI/Machine learning Intern in Grand Rapids, MI. You will work with our data team to collect, clean, and analyze datasets, build ML models, and create dashboards that communicate insights to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze datasets (structured and unstructured).
• Assist in developing ML models for prediction, classification, and trend analysis.
• Support AI initiatives including generative AI, NLP, and automation.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to find patterns and opportunities.
• Help evaluate model performance and suggest improvements.
• Document methodologies, findings, and best practices.
• Participate in research and PoC projects on AI and emerging tech.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
