Job summary

New York Life seeks a Data Risk Analyst to advance its enterprise data risk program. You will develop risk frameworks, operationalize KRIs/KPIs, and maintain dashboards in collaboration with risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with data owners and stewards to strengthen data risk practices across cloud environments and contribute to day-to-day governance and risk reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in data governance or risk management.
• Experience designing and operationalizing KRI/KPI frameworks and dashboards.
• Strong SQL and Tableau skills for risk reporting and visualization.
• Working knowledge of data governance concepts and risk tracking with tools like Jira/Confluence/SharePoint.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across data, risk, compliance, and tech teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize enterprise data risk frameworks and taxonomy.
• Define, measure, and report KRIs and KPIs; maintain risk register and dashboards.
• Drive risk mitigation by tracking findings and remediation actions.
• Advance data protection and governance across cloud data environments.
• Support governance committees, enablement activities, and Agile delivery.
