Overview

A Python Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving data pipelines that integrate a variety of data sources, including APIs, databases, and shared network drives. The developer will work alongside a team of Business Consultants, Data Analysts, and Developers, experienced in R and Python.

Job Summary

This individual contributor is primarily responsible for driving strategic data-informed decisions, gathering data and information on targeted variables, preparing data for analytic efforts, and interpreting data analyses. The role involves executing creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes, developing and automating business and reporting solutions, and creating analytical/statistical models to support informed decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Promote self-development and support team learning by sharing expertise, building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and adapting to change.
  2. Complete work assignments supporting business projects, ensuring procedures are followed, collaborating cross-functionally, solving complex problems, and recognizing improvement opportunities.
  3. Implement creative data analytic approaches, defining metrics, algorithms, and conducting various statistical analyses.
  4. Develop, implement, and automate business and reporting solutions, including creating reports, visualizations, and BI tools, and documenting processes.
  5. Interpret data analyses, develop insights, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders to enable decision-making.
  6. Support strategic data-informed decisions by consulting with clients, developing outcome measures, translating requirements, and training end-users.
  7. Gather data systematically, validate sources, query and merge data, and develop tools for data collection and support.
  8. Create analytical/statistical models to enable informed decisions, testing and refining these models.
  9. Prepare data for analysis by ensuring quality, cleaning, and consolidating data sets, and recommending process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, Business, or related field, plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analytics or related fields. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
