Job description

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us "challenge the status quo" and transform the finance industry together.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate to work on site 4 days per week in one of the specified locations.

Personal Choice Investment Services (PCIS), within Workplace Services (WS), provides the industry-leading Personal Choice Retirement Account (PCRA) and Health Savings Brokerage Account (HSBA), and is growing rapidly by serving Schwab Retirement Plan Services and the broader retirement and health savings industries.

PCIS aims to deliver competitive products and services to its intermediaries, which requires a strong understanding of the retirement market and our clients’ business needs. The Digital Product Management team onboards new PCRA and Health Savings Account (HSA) clients onto Schwab’s Brokerage platform and handles data analytics and production support.

You will be comfortable working across business and technology teams to facilitate discussions with internal and external clients, analyze data and trends, monitor file transmissions and interfaces, document requirements and processes, and support testing and production releases.

Business Systems Analysis responsibilities

  • Serve in a client-facing capacity, partnering with clients, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, requirements discussions, and presentations, communicating needs, risks, issues, status, and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain business and technical documentation, such as requirements, process flows, procedures, test artifacts, and production support materials.
  • Work effectively within an Agile environment, supporting requirements, backlog refinement, sprints, testing, demos, and release readiness.
  • Monitor file transmissions and system interfaces, investigate data or processing issues, and coordinate resolution across teams.
  • Support testing and production releases, including functional, integration, regression, and production validation, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Data Analysis responsibilities

  • Extract and consolidate data from multiple sources for analysis, reconciliation, investigation, and reporting.
  • Completed advanced SQL tasks, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, aggregations, validation, reconciliation, and large-dataset analysis
  • Translate business questions into data requirements, analytical approaches, metrics, and actionable insights.
  • Explain complex data and findings to Product, Strategy, Operations, and senior business leaders.
  • Use Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools for analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of 'challenging the status quo,' this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process analysis, root-cause analysis, and translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and test scenarios.
  • 3+ years of experience monitoring file transmissions, interfaces, batch processes, or system-to-system data exchanges, including investigation and resolution of processing issues.
  • 2+ years in an Agile environment, familiar with ceremonies, JIRA/Rally project management tool experience, supporting testing, production releases, incident investigation, and release validation.
  • 3+ years of data analytics, business intelligence, or data management experience, including extracting, cleansing, validating, reconciling, and analyzing data to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
  • Proven ability to learn complex systems, think logically, solve problems, and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technology, operations, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of broker-dealer trading systems experience, with knowledge of brokerage/trading processes, systems, workflows, and data
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and relational databases, including complex analysis, data modeling, dashboards, KPI reporting, and visualization.
