Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Data Analyst Associate to support data governance and BI efforts for critical enterprise systems. You’ll work with data scientists and professionals to ensure data integrity, monitoring, and analysis across key data sets in a high-impact national defense context.

You will develop foundational data governance and BI skills while contributing to data quality, documentation, and reporting activities in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and 2+ years of hands-on data analysis experience/internships).
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• Foundational data skills: relational databases, data tables, and structured data concepts; experience with Power BI, Excel/Access, SQL, or ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Data Quality Analysis: conduct routine data quality checks and identify anomalies across key data sets using tools like Power BI, Access, or ServiceNow.
• Governance & Documentation: maintain data dictionaries, metadata catalogs, and standard data elements for reliability and consistency.
• Monitoring & Reporting: monitor data feeds and dashboards; flag defects before downstream reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: investigate data discrepancies, determine root causes, and propose remediation steps with senior engineers.
• Skill Development: learn data modeling practices and governance frameworks in a mission-focused environment.
