Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Data Management Analyst in the United States for a finance data platform modernization project. You will validate, reconcile, and report across legacy and modern data environments to identify variances and support go-live decisions through clear analysis and collaboration.

You will develop queries, validate end-to-end data flows, and build dashboards to communicate variance trends to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience with large-scale data platforms such as BigQuery, Hadoop, or similar environments.
• 3+ years of experience with ETL or data pipeline tools such as Airflow, dbt, Informatica, or similar tools.
• Experience with Python or PySpark for data analysis and data processing.
• Strong background in data validation, reconciliation, duplicate detection, and audit/control total checks.
• Ability to interpret business requirements, mapping documents, and transformation logic.
• Experience producing reconciliation reports, defect documentation, and variance summaries.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run queries to compare legacy and modern datasets and identify data variances
• Support source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and control total checks across large data platforms
• Analyze data issues, investigate root causes, and document findings clearly for business and technical teams
• Create validation summaries, exception reports, defect logs, and sign-off documentation
• Build reports and dashboards to highlight variance trends and support stakeholder decision-making
• Work closely with product, engineering, finance, business, and legacy system teams to resolve data issues
• Review mapping documents, business rules, transformation logic, and data lineage to validate requirements
• Help define tolerance thresholds and support go-live readiness for parallel operations
