Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an AWS Data Quality Engineer to join as a full-time role focused on ensuring data quality across AWS data services. The role requires US citizenship or GC holders only, with strong Python and SQL skills and experience in Airflow and Deequ.

The candidate will develop automated data validation scripts, build testing utilities, and implement data quality dashboards, working with data engineers and BI teams to enforce KPIs and SLAs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop automated scripts to validate data movements and ensure schema, completeness, and timeliness.
• Build robust testing utilities in Python and native AWS services for DataOps workflows.
• Set up data drift monitoring, schema validation, and quality dashboards to preempt failures.
• Translate business rules into data quality KPIs and SLAs with data engineers and BI teams.

Secondary Skills: SQL and UNIX/Linux scripting

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automated scripts to validate source-to-target data movements, ensuring schema consistency, completeness, and timeliness.
• Build robust, reusable testing utilities using Python, native AWS services that integrate seamlessly into DataOps workflows.
• Set up continuous data drift monitoring, schema validation, and data quality dashboards to proactively catch pipeline failures.
• Partner with data engineers, BI teams, and software engineers to translate business rules into strict data quality KPIs and SLAs.

Must Have:

• Deep proficiency in AWS data and storage services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for building automation frameworks and orchestrating data tests.
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow), data transformation, and data quality monitoring frameworks (e.g., Amazon Deequ).
• Strong command of SQL and UNIX/Linux scripting for querying and analyzing large-scale, distributed datasets

Certifications:

Candidate with AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate - Highly preferred

Pay Range Minimum: 69000

Pay Range Maximum: 128000
