Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks a Data Quality Analyst to ensure enterprise data is accurate, consistent and reliable. You will partner with data stewards and business stakeholders to translate requirements into testable data rules and support governance and master data processes.

You will lead data quality improvement initiatives, oversee Agile activities, and collaborate across functions such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Care to drive trusted data decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data quality, data governance, master data management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with data quality systems, tools, and processes.
• SAP experience, especially with master data management and data quality.
• Experience leading multiple projects or workstreams across functional teams.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into measurable, testable data quality rules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to influence global, cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, escalating issues, and driving accountability.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with data stewards and business stakeholders to identify, resolve, and prevent data quality issues.
• Translate business requirements and processes into clear, measurable, and testable data quality rules.
• Monitor data quality results, drive corrective actions, and elevate systemic issues through governance channels.
• Lead data quality improvement initiatives across global functions such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Pricing, Customer Care, PLM, Finance, and related teams.
• Lead Agile project activities, including planning sessions, workshops, sprint ceremonies, progress tracking, and stakeholder updates.
• Maintain project deliverables and Agile boards using Planview AgilePlace or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain governance documentation, data standards, policies, rule definitions, and master data process documentation.
• Support technical data quality operations, including SAP Information Steward rules, SQL-based analysis, Databricks governance solutions, workflow updates, and automation monitoring.
• Investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with business and technical partners.
• Communicate data quality risks, project progress, and improvement opportunities clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Role Purpose

The Data Quality Analyst helps ensure enterprise data is accurate, consistent, and reliable. This role partners with data stewards and business stakeholders to improve data quality, translate business needs into testable data rules, and support enterprise data governance and master data processes.

This position plays a key role in strengthening data quality practices, supporting Agile project activities, and enabling better business decisions through trusted data.

The role focuses on data quality and governance execution, process improvement and project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with Databricks-based governance solutions, automation workflows, RPA monitoring, and Decisions workflow software.
• Experience using Planview AgilePlace or similar Agile project management tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise governance documentation, standards, policies, processes, and training materials.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.

The range for this position is $100,259.00 - $137,857.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
