Job description

Under the direction of Sr VP Chief Information Officer, the Data Program Director will oversee the Cogito Project Manager and ancillary data specialty roles and provide accountable oversight to a portfolio of Business Intelligence & Analytics initiatives, applying industry best practices to manage the intake, scoping, planning, staffing, execution methodology, and long-term road mapping of projects within the assigned portfolio. This role will partner with other leaders in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Clinical Quality, Finance, IT, and other operational/functional areas, as well as third-party partner organizations, to align the program with internal and external stakeholders and to ensure successful adoption and value realization associated with the assigned portfolio.

Annual Salary Range: $155,667.20 - $229,611.20
This position can be Remote Out-Of-State.

Qualifications
Education:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

Prefers a Master’s Degree in relevant field of study.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of seven* (7) years of progressively responsible program or project management experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience must include demonstrated leadership of business intelligence analysts/Cogito Project Managers, preferably working in a management capacity, leading multiple initiatives more than $1 million and/or 12 months in duration or related management position in a healthcare setting.

Healthcare experience strongly preferred, preferably within a large healthcare provider system.

Epic Cogito experience highly preferred

Prefers experience applying healthcare analytics industry best practices and best-of-breed platforms and tools.

Prefers relevant experience and technical skills, including Database/Data Warehouse Fluency, Data Presentation/Visualization, Report/Dashboard Development

Prefers IT Application or BI Team Management, including Resource & Capacity Management; Talent Development, Performance Management & Career Planning; Software Development Life Cycle Best Practices& Oversight/Management Skills; Vendor Selection & Vendor Management; Tool & Solution Strategy Development

Prefers relevant program and project management skills and experience, including project demand and intake management, resource and capacity management, portfolio management, methodology design and implementation, etc.

Prefers strategic planning experience, including experience driving organizational transformation in partnership with operational leaders, e.g., IT, Clinical, Finance, Quality, Population Health, Administration, etc.

Prefers change management planning and implementation experience

Prefers communication management, planning, and implementation experience

Must demonstrate success in leading large, complex, and high-visibility groups of concurrent projects

Must have a high-quality verbal and written communication, including large-group and executive-level facilitation and presentation skills

Must be a successful leader of people, have strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team.

Must be able to decide how to allocate people, time, and other resources to create, execute, and accomplish an operating or project plan on time and within budget.

Must have solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities.

Must have high-quality Microsoft Office document and presentation creation skills, e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
