Job summary

KBR is seeking a Data Processing Systems Engineer Intern to support a Systems Engineering team with requirements development, design, implementation, and test activities for mission-critical systems at the USGS EROS Center.

You will collaborate with mentors and experienced engineers, gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and contribute across the engineering lifecycle, from concept through integration and verification.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements development, design, implementation, and test activities for mission-critical systems
• Assist in creating documentation, workflows, and integration plans
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to turn new ideas into reality
• Support system design, integration, and testing activities as needed
