Job summary

NetApp is seeking a software engineer for DataPelago data processing customer success to advance validation and support workflows. You will build synthetic workloads, analyze logs, and help customers deploy DataPelago products in production environments.

You will apply AI techniques alongside product validation and support to pre-empt issues, accelerate diagnoses, and improve configurations. Strong Spark, SQL, Python, and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing, validating and supporting enterprise data processing software.
• 2+ years providing direct support to external customers.
• 2+ years supporting Apache Spark pipelines for data engineering and analytics, including running Spark jobs, provisioning resources, and tuning parameters.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Proficient in testing data products and test automation.
• Experience with cloud deployments (SaaS, VM-based, container-based, serverless) and with GCP/AWS preferred.
• Good customer engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop synthetic workload queries and datasets for testing DPA-S.
• Create analysis and diagnostic tools for logs from DPA-S and Spark environments.
• Field and address or upscale customer support issues as part of the product support rotation.
• Conduct end-to-end product validation with defined test plans.
• Analyze validation artifacts and customer issues to identify configuration tuning opportunities and bugs.
• Leverage automation and AI techniques across validation and support workflows.
• Create bug reports, RCA documents, configuration guides, and best practice documents.
