Job summary

Net56, Inc. is seeking an Information Governance & Compliance Specialist to develop, audit, and maintain data governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management for K-12 districts and internal operations.

The role requires deep privacy framework expertise and an active CGRC certification, with travel to client sites as needed. The ideal candidate will lead governance programs, create policies, and collaborate with IT teams to ensure legal compliance and data protection.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CGRC or equivalent information governance certification.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in IT governance, compliance, or risk management.
• Experience with FERPA, SOPPA, and SIS integrations in K-12 education.

Responsibilities

• Lead government risk and compliance program for Net56.
• Develop privacy and cybersecurity awareness training programs.
• Run assessments of cybersecurity and privacy controls.
• Collaborate with leadership to write policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to IT departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in security incident response and breach notification activities.
• Prepare reports for executive leadership, audit committees, and board members.
