Job summary

Ramsey County is seeking a Data Practices Officer in the Compliance and Ethics Office. The role coordinates countywide data practices administration, guides on the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, and manages sensitive data requests across departments.

The position focuses on training, policy development, and project support to achieve countywide data governance goals. Open, competitive examination process with veteran's preference considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, compliance, communications, English, business administration, public policy, public administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data practices laws.
• Research and guide on Minnesota Government Data Practices Act applications.
• Manage and coordinate complex data requests with multiple stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and train departments on data practices requirements and trainings.
• Serve as SME for data practices systems and tools.
• Assist with project management for countywide initiatives.
